Roadmap
Directional, not a commitment.
GhanaData is the last product in the portfolio on purpose. A gateway built over services that are still moving inherits every one of their problems and hides them behind an extra hop. So it starts as an index and earns its way forward. No dates are promised here.
- Now · shipped
An honest index
What exists today, deployed at developers.digitalghana.dev:
- A catalogue of every portfolio API with base URL, endpoints and published boundary.
- Working request and response examples taken from the running services.
- Live status checks that separate “not deployed” from “not answering”.
- The shared API conventions every product follows.
- Next · gated
Better reference, still no gateway
Work that improves the developer surface without introducing a runtime dependency between products. Each item is gated on the underlying products, not on this repository.
- Machine-readable OpenAPI and GraphQL schema links per product, published by the products themselves.
- A shared error-shape reference, once the products agree one in their contracts.
- GhanaGeo’s native gRPC endpoint, once it is deployed. Its REST and GraphQL API is already indexed here.
- Search across the index as the catalogue outgrows a single page.
- Later · deferred
The gateway itself
Deferred until several products reach stable, per the portfolio architecture decision. Bringing it forward would mean operating a critical path over betas.
- A single API key across products, with quotas and usage reporting.
- A unified query surface spanning more than one product’s data.
- Hosted SDK distribution and a shared client.
- Caching and rate limiting on behalf of the products.
- Out of scope
Things this will not become
- A shared database. Products integrate through versioned APIs and pinned artifacts, never a common store.
- A proxy for government transactions, credentials, forms or payments.
- A citizen-profile database, or any store of personal data.
- A claim of government operation or endorsement.
